6 Foods to Avoid with Asthma and Breathing Problems

There is no special diet to cure asthma and breathing problems. However, there are certain foods that are helpful in managing the condition. Healthy diet choices can be effective in dealing with asthma triggers and improving overall health.   • Dried fruits: Although packed with nutrients, dried fruits are not recommended for those with asthma and other related breathing issues. Fresh fruits such as apples and oranges are preferable. Be wary of packaged and preserved dried apricots and cherries that have sodium sulfite and potassium bisulfite on the label.
